A tentative agreement has been reached between BCGEU ferry workers and Western Pacific Marine

Good news for local residents and travelers who rely on in-land ferry service.   A tentative agreement has been reached between BCGEU ferry workers and Western Pacific Marine – the operator responsible for the Kootenay Lake ferries.  This offer will be put to ratification this week.

The continued safe, reliable and efficient operation of our inland ferries is extremely important.  I’m so pleased to see an agreement reached between these parties.

This tentative agreement comes on the heels of ratification of agreements between the BCGEU and the two Waterbridge companies who operate ferry service at Francois, Arrow Lakes and Adams Lake.
